Travel to the famous grand canyon USA

|

Many people consider visiting the Grand Canyon to be a “bucket list” vacation. That is to say, it is something you desire to do or see before we depart this planet.

The Grand Canyon lies in Northern Arizona, and it will take you a few hours to get there from the nearest big city. It’s smack dab in the middle of nowhere.

The Canyon was created over 1000’s of years by the Colorado River flowing through it’s walls.

The canyon is described as “huge.” This natural and ancient formation’s enormity and depth defy description. You can glance out and see what’s on the other side, but I wouldn’t suggest getting too close to the edge to get a better view.

The Canyon stretches for about 277 miles and is up to 18 miles wide at its widest point. Of course, the most incredible aspect is that the canyon floor is a mile deep.

All of these figures change based on your vantage point. At other canyon lookout areas, I may be closer or wider.

According to archeologists, this formation took “millions of years” to form.

A raft/boat ride can be arranged on the same Colorado River, and there are many different levels to choose from. Some areas with boulders are more dangerous than others with slower moving waters where you may take in the canyon walls as you travel down the river.

There are numerous hiking trails and walkways to select from. It’s difficult to determine if the South Rim or another location is the finest for viewing.

The truth is that the best vantage point for observation may simultaneously be the most risky in terms of risk. Some folks travel to the rim to capture these breathtaking images. I’d rather soak in all of nature’s splendor. Even the ride there had some enjoyable moments.

Is it safe for you to sit on the edge? Perhaps if you’re wearing a safety harness and lying flat. It’s the wind that has the potential to capture you. You must also not be terrified of heights…yikes.

All day, rock formations and little caverns can be seen and photographed.

To see as much of the Canyon as possible, I like to obtain a greater viewpoint with a wider landscape view. This is where you may get an idea of scale.

Time flies when you’re having fun, and you only have so much time to get back to the city.

If you call or reserve well in advance, you can find tiny cabins or hotels. Because the Arizona sun is scorching in the summer, I think the peak seasons are spring and fall.

Nature appears to be so vast out there that it makes you feel like we are a minor blip on the planet’s timeline. Take advantage of it and get outside.
