Travel- to the stunning beautiful city- Vozhega, Russia

|

Vozhega is a settlement in Russia’s Vologda region and the administrative seat of the Vozhegodsky district. It’s close to the Vozhega River, which empties into the large Lake Vozhe. Vozhega is also a railway station 140 kilometers north of Vologda’s regional center. The town was founded in the end of the nineteenth century.

What can you expect from a neighborhood built around a train station? Surprisingly, however, there is a lovely steam locomotive here.

Even a recently constructed wooden church in the old style can be found.

The Elijah the Prophet Church was completed in 1995.

A lovely park with monuments and art pieces dedicated to the memory of the Great Patriotic War is also located in Vozhega.

And there is also a woman with a yoke in Vozhega!

I expected to be bored to death here, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I witnessed.

The Vozhega River flows to the side of the settlement rather than through it. Despite this, a large number of people swim near the road bridge.

The worst part is the crumbling asphalt on the way to the settlement. However, I am relieved that the repair work is already underway.
